VCUarts Department of Kinetic Imaging is offering Sound Camp over a single, two-week session for rising 6th-8th graders. Campers will be led through the process of a variety of sound recording techniques, working with microphones and learning new computer skills. Working in the Kinetic Imaging sound studio, each camper will have the opportunity to plan and create their own sound production. Their camp counselors and instructor have lots of experience and love sound! Our student-teacher ratio is 5:1 to ensure learning, project development, and fun.  Campers will work independently and in small groups using professional grade microphones, mixers, and computers in the studios. The final pieces will be presented to family members and friends on the last day of camp.

Camp will meet in Franklin Terrace, 1st floor

Drop off 8:30 – 9 a.m. in the alley behind Franklin Terrace (instructions below). Counselors will be present to sign in and escort campers to the classroom.

Pick up 4 – 4:30 p.m. in the alley behind Franklin Terrace (instructions below). Counselors will be present to sign out campers.

NOTE: Campers should bring a bag lunch each day. Afternoon snacks will be provided.
